The Fine Print

Nope, there’s no “gotcha!” here. But I prefer to be thorough in my disclosures to ensure we are always on the same page. I like transparency – sunshine is the best disinfectant.

Legal Restrictions:

There are legal requirements to being able to take home a firearm, whether you purchased it yourself online or whether you are buying it directly from me. I do my best to help you navigate these requirements. However, I am also bound by these requirements, and if I deviate from the procedure dictated by government regulations, it can cost me my business. Under no circumstances will I deviate from the law or ATF regulations. No individual’s business is worth my entire business.

Pricing:

I always give an out-the-door cash price. There are no hidden fees. I can accept credit cards, I just have to tack on the processing fee I would be paying the card company. Just let me know you’d like to pay by card and I can give you an out-the-door card price instead.

Pressure-Free Buying:

I have no desire whatsoever to pressure someone into a purchase that they will regret, especially since firearms are difficult (or sometimes impossible) to return for a refund. Very few people in this world view the price of a firearm as an easy pill to swallow. “Let me think it over” is always the right move. Additionally, I do not accept same-day purchase commitments from first time firearm buyers. I want you to sleep on it, I want you to talk it over with your wife/husband/buddy/cat/fortune-teller before deciding. Take your time, and when you’re ready, just let me know.

Brand-New or Used:

I will always be 100% up-front about if a firearm is anything other than New. Firearms that I have on display are sometimes used consignments, and will show on the price tag whether they are new or used. If I am ordering you a firearm, that almost always means it is brand spanking new, fresh, ready to be cared for by a loving family. I will always be clear on the rare occasion when this is not the case.

Unacceptable Condition:

I do not sell junk, and I will never hold a customer to a sale of a firearm that I would personally find unacceptable. This even applies to used firearms – if I order you a used firearm, and the condition was misrepresented to me, that is squarely MY problem and I will take it up with the source I purchased it from.

Inventory Availability:

I prefer to run lean, keep a light inventory and pass those savings onto the customer. This means most things you would purchase from me have to be ordered. I’ll give you an estimated arrival date when I place the order, though warehouse and shipping delays can add a margin of error to this. Of course, if I do happen to have the firearm you’re looking for in-stock, you can take it home as soon as legally allowed.

Other Retailers’ Sale Prices:

These days, most consumers are having to tighten our belts. I know I certainly have. When firearm sales slow down, a lot of the major online retailers will dump inventory at a loss, especially when they find an excuse to advertise a sale (Black Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Christmas, etc). When these sales discount the price below my wholesale cost, I can’t do anything to compete with that, but I’d be happy to handle the transfer if you end up buying something from them. If you are about to pay the normal market retail cost, I can most likely save you some money – just not when unpopular inventory is being dumped at a loss.

Price Matching:

I don’t guarantee that I can match a price, but I will do my best. When comparison shopping, please do me the courtesy of using the full out-the-door cost (including shipping, sales tax, and transfer fee) when comparing against my price (which is always fully out-the-door).
